2 Sponsors for Halloween Pub Run

For the first time in pub run history we have acquired 2 sponsors for the Monopoly Pub Run.

Sponsors coming onboard are the Aleandria Dukes Rugby Football Club and the Occidental Hotel.  The Dukes will be supplying a BBQ for the pub run and the Occidental  will be hosting the BBQ.

Alexandrias Dukes director of rugby Phil Tovey said "By supplying the BBQ, it is a way of getting our name and brand known in the community whilst supplying some well earned sausages to a great event, which is growing each year"

Tovey Further said "It is also great to be partnering with the Occidental who have hosted the check point BBQ for the last few years."

2011 Halloween Monopoly Pub Run

Halloween Pub Run Link

As has become tradition, the Sydney Monopoly Pub run is back again this year.  The pub run falls on 29th October 2011, which is Halloween (well kind of) and as such there is a fancy dress theme.

So come as your favourite super hero, a witch a warlock or just dress up for the event.

The pub run guide can be found at the following link. Halloween Pub Run Link

So what's going to happen on the pub run?

The Sydney Monopoly Pub run takes into account 26 pubs throughout Sydney.

The Route
The route encompasses 26 streets and stations. This attempts to replicate the Monopoly board, leaving out the Electric Company, Water Works etc. The route encompasses pubs from a varied cross section.

The Strategy
26 pubs might seem like a tall order, and it is if you have a pint in each one. Since we would prefer to finish the whole route rather than pass out halfway through it is advisable to go for a half pint (aka Middy) in each. There's usually at least half an hour to spare at the last pub for more drinking. It's a fun day out whether you're drinking or not.

The route for 2011 is:
1 - Forbes Hotel
2 - CBD (York 75)
3 - PJ O'briens
